Terms of Service

1. The service

StencilPilot turns reference photos into tattoo stencils using AI, and gives you tools to edit, print and export them. Results are generated automatically and can vary from photo to photo. We keep improving the service, so features may change over time.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use StencilPilot.
• Keep access to your email and Google account secure: anyone who can sign in to them can use your StencilPilot account. Tell us right away at support@stencilpilot.com if you think your account was misused.
• An account is for one person. The Studio plan is meant for up to two artists in the same studio sharing one account and its credits.

3. Credits and plans

• One credit creates one stencil. Generating again (“Regenerate”) also uses one credit.
• If a generation fails, its credit is returned to your balance automatically.
• Subscription plans (Hobby, Pro and Studio) add their credits each month, also on yearly billing. Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next month.
• Credits from one-time purchases (the starter pack and top-ups) never expire. Monthly subscription credits are always used first.
• The starter pack (5 credits) can be bought once per account and needs a verified email address. Top-ups (25 credits) are available to active subscribers.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, except for refunds under our Refund Policy.
• Editing, printing and exporting stencils never uses credits.

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our reseller and merchant of record. Polar handles checkout, payment, sales tax or VAT, invoices and receipts, and its terms apply to the purchase itself. Prices are shown in US dollars on our pricing page.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you in advance and the new price will only apply from your next billing period.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page (“Manage subscription & invoices”). Your plan and its credits stay available until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

6. Your photos

You keep all rights to the photos you upload. Only upload photos you have the right to use: photos you took, photos your client gave you for their tattoo, or photos you are licensed to use. Do not upload photos of other people without their permission.

You give us a limited permission to store and process your photos and stencils only to provide the service to you, including sending them to our AI provider to create your stencil. We do not use your photos or stencils to train AI models and we do not use them in our marketing.

7. Your stencils

As far as we are concerned, the stencils you create are yours to use, including commercially for tattoos you do for your clients. Because stencils are generated by AI from your photo, we cannot guarantee that a stencil is unique or that it can be protected by copyright.

Always check a stencil before you apply it to skin. You are responsible for the final design, its size and placement, and the tattoo itself. StencilPilot is a design tool and is not responsible for tattoo results.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use StencilPilot to:

• upload illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or content that harasses or exploits anyone;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• get around credit limits, purchase limits or security measures, or use stolen or unauthorized payment methods;
• scrape, overload or reverse engineer the service, or access it with bots or scripts other than through the normal website;
• resell or share access to the service outside your own account.

9. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using StencilPilot at any time. To delete your account and all its photos and stencils, email support@stencilpilot.com from your account email. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, for example in cases of payment fraud or abuse. If we close your account without a good reason related to these terms, we will refund unused paid credits.

10. No warranty

StencilPilot is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it reliable and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that every generated stencil will meet your expectations. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country that cannot be waived.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, StencilPilot is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, lost business or lost data), and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, such as liability for intent or gross negligence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. For important changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using StencilPilot after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
